IBD Has Many Faces: Working Together to Achieve Health Equity in Gastrointestinal Care

Pfizer is proud to support Color of Gastrointestinal Illnesses (COGI). Because of our commitment to gastrointestinal care, we recognize the critical need to address healthcare disparities for patients with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD).

Anyone can be diagnosed with IBD – no matter your age, race, ethnicity, or culture. Managing IBD can sometimes bring unique challenges for people from diverse communities, including communities of color, such as access to resources and care.1

That’s why we are actively working to help empower patients with IBD and the healthcare providers who serve them. By partnering with patient advocates to foster open conversations, providing information on how patients can connect with support communities, and facilitating access to healthcare-related financial information, Pfizer helps to raise awareness of health inequalities and promote culturally respectful care that allows all patients to feel seen and heard. Visit www.ibdhasmanyfaces.com to learn more about our educational materials and resources to support the IBD community. Together, we can work towards building a more equitable future for all those affected by these challenging gastrointestinal conditions.
