One of the major health topics that is often off of the radar, in black and brown communities, is digestion. Did you know that there are diseases associated with the gut – 2 of which are Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis, often under the umbrella term IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease). Both of these diseases are chronic illnesses that are under-diagnosed in black patients.
