In Living COGI 2025
VIRTUAL 5K WALK

November 30, 2025 - December 7, 2025 All Day EST

WHY WE WALK

In 2024 we hosted an In Living COGI Step Challenge with over 50 participants who made a commitment to walk at least 10,000 steps in support of Crohn’s and Colitis Awareness Week. We walked over 700k steps during the week to show our community that we are committed to advocacy, including our own health.

This year we’re expanding the Step Challenge to 5k walks in over 10 cities giving our community a chance to connect with one another! If a walk is not being hosted in your city, this 5k Virtual Walk is just for you! Grab your friends, family, and advocates, and in the words of Martin… let’s “get to steppin'”!

RULES

  • The Virtual 5k Walks will be hosted on Sunday, November 30th starting at 12:30 PM ET/11:30 AM CT/10:30 AM MT/9:30 AM PT.
  • Participants can walk by themselves or with a group in a designated space. Designated spaces can be a park, a trail, track field, a gym, or even your house, just to name some examples.
  • Participants are encouraged to join our In Living COGI 2025 5k and Beyond! Group on the Step Up App so your steps can be recorded. This also gives you the chance to connect with other community members and root for them during the walk.

Beyond the 5k, the goal per person is to walk 10,000 steps during Crohn’s and Colitis Awareness Week which equates to 5 miles roughly. You do have the option to walk them over the course of those 7 days.

By joining the app, we’ll also be able to collect your steps and will have a running ticker counting them throughout the week. We look forward to you joining us!
