Our mission is to improve the quality of life for BIPOC who are affected by IBD, Digestive Disorders and associated Chronic Illnesses; through Community, Research, Education, and Advocacy.
C.O.R.E. is a safe and supportive space for young adults with digestive health issues to come together and share their experiences, learn from each other, and find support. This support group is open to all young adults between the ages of 18-25, with digestive health issues, regardless of the specific condition you have. Whether you have been diagnosed recently or have been living with your condition for many years, you are welcome here.
May Topic: In this meeting, we will discuss what elements are required from a physician to provide exceptional care for younger patients who are diagnosed with chronic illnesses. Characteristics such as trust, communication, empathy, collaboration are a few elements in a successful healthcare relationship. In this meeting we will also discuss, what are elements that your physician exemplifies and/or elements you think that are required in all young patient and physician relationships. So “Let’s Keep Our Gut Mutual,” and talk about what is important in a physician and patient relationship! See Ya There!
