While COGI has tried to engage in the Board’s process, we have found it to be difficult to navigate and have noticed that our input is not mentioned or considered at meetings. When patient access to treatment is on the line, we need to know our voices are heard. We want to see more, not less, protections for patients so that this Board’s decisions do not lead to adverse coverage decisions by payers. In our experience, when payers do not cover the drugs we need, they do not become more affordable – only less.
